Happy DNA Day! Today celebrates the successful completion of the Human Genome Project in 2003 and the discovery of DNA’s double helix by James Watson and Francis Crick in 1953. It’s a day for commemorating all things DNA, so we we’re sharing a behind-the-scenes look at how we turn your DNA into art, via CNN Money.
On December 13th, CTV Morning featured DNA 11 on the show. Check out the segment with host Lianne Lang and our PR Manager Suzy Kendrick. Lianne was great sport trying out a DNA collection kit and even giving us her best smooch for a kiss portrait. It’s not too late to get your DNA 11 gift kit and give someone special a truly unique piece of art this holiday season!

DNA 11 appears as part of a larger story about the rise of retailers who specialize in customization, which WSJ dubs “me-tailers”.
We’re honored to be associated with so many cool and exciting brands in the article and believe passionately that customization and personalization are what customers want in a world where things are increasingly mass-produced.
At DNA 11 we take great pride in providing our customers with the ability to express themselves and apply a little bit of their own personality to their walls.
Some think it’s narcissistic, but we like to think of it as hyper-personalization. While some customers are buying DNA Portraits or Fingerprint Portraits of themselves, many are choosing to celebrate their kids, their pets or even a lost loved one and we think that’s awesome.

After three beautiful months in sunny Los Angeles the time has arrived to “pop down” our temporary pop-up gallery. By all measures it was a huge success. Hundreds of guided tours, piles of media and a great wrap up party co-hosted by our friends of 944 Magazine ensured we went out with a bang! We made lots of fantastic friends in Los Angeles and we’ll be back soon.
Here are some of the pictures from the DNA 11 / 944 Magazine event. Many thanks to GreenSUV for providing the transportation, HOPE Wines for supplying the wine, Poixen (for the delicious pisco sours) Carly Harill from 944 for helping to coordinate everything and of course our PR firm RF-PR.
