DNA Art at The WIRED Store Launch in NYC

Last weekend DNA 11 co-founders Nazim Ahmed and Adrian Salamunovic headed to New York City for the grand opening of the of WIRED’s annual pop-up retail store.

The WIRED Holiday Store 2009 puts more that 250 of the hottest must have gadgets in the hands of holiday shoppers via their online storefront and the retail store.

DNA Art Featured on The Doctors on CBS

Tune in Wednesday September 16, 2009 for the one-hour episode of The Doctors titled Health Trends and Controversial Cures.

DNA 11 created individual DNA Portraits for the show’s hosts- Dr. Travis Stork, Dr. Jim Sears, Dr. Lisa Masterson, and Dr. Drew Ordon.

The DNA art featured on The Doctors TV show is the world’s most personal form of artwork on canvas. No two portraits will ever be the same.

We had a great time working with the show to create the portraits and we are excited to be a part of the new season!

It’s a new month and DNA 11 has some up coming media appearances:

1) September 3rd 2009 – 8pm ET HBO- A Dog Year

Keep an eye out for DNA 11’s artwork in Jeff Bridges’ new HBO movie A Dog Year.

It is a story is a story of a writer in the midst of a mid-life crisis who decided to adopt a dog that turns out to be even crazier than he is.

FYI: Keep an eye out for one of our DNA portraits in the daughter’s bedroom.

2) September 8th, 2009 – It’s on with Alexa Chung – MTV – 12 pm ET/PT

DNA 11 has a special announcement for Tuesday’s show. A Major Celebrity had his portrait created by DNA 11. Hint: He was in the movie Sin City. Tune in to find out who!

3) DNA 11 is featured in Forbes Online Magazine: Eight Million Dollar Businesses You’ve Never Heard Of.

(I’m not so sure about the “You’ve Never Heard Of ” part considering the amount of media we have been getting lately… )

DNA 11 Pet Portraits featured in People Magazine

The modern pet portrait by DNA 11 is featured in a recent People Pets article that highlights what people are doing with Pet DNA.

DNA 11 has been creating unique art pieces from the DNA of dogs, cats, horses, and even a Bengal tiger at the request of our customers since its inception in 2005.

Adrian one of the co-founders actually had a DNA Pet Portrait created of his own dog Bosley, and hangs it proudly at home.

DNA 11 Pop-up Gallery Wrap Up

After three beautiful months in sunny Los Angeles the time has arrived to “pop down” our temporary pop-up gallery. By all measures it was a huge success. Hundreds of guided tours, piles of media and a great wrap up party co-hosted by our friends of 944 Magazine ensured we went out with a bang! We made lots of fantastic friends in Los Angeles and we’ll be back soon.
